SADISTIC HUMOR was a metal band from Kamloops, B.C., Canada who enjoyed an intense period of mosh-pit mayhem from 1989 'til 1995. They were influenced by the likes of Slayer, Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica, Death Angel, Annihilator, D.R.I., Black Sabbath, Suicidal Tendencies, Anthrax and Judas Priest just to name a few. They played tons of wicked gigs around the interior of B.C. as well as a tour across Western Canada.
The band managed to pump out four recordings in that time: "Knock, Knock...", "Slow Function", "The Watcher" and "Transload". These were cassette-only releases, as this was the peak of technology available to indie bands back in those days. With at least 14 bandmembers participating over the years, SadHum’s sound evolved quite a bit, as the recordings show. Indie to the last drop, they were never signed to a record label.
Now, a couple decades after the band's inception, here are some of the highlights on CD - including a few rarities never heard before! With gratitude, this collection is a tribute to everyone who ever took part in those good old days (fans, players, and bands we played with), and a taste of history for any who missed it.
